Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: Saudi Arabia Won’t Release Benedict Cumberbatch Starrer For THIS Reason-DETAILS BELOW
Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of 2022 and fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the MCU’s next showpiece. While the world already seems to be excited about the upcoming film, shockingly, the film won’t be released in Saudi Arabia.

A Deadline report suggests that the movie has technically not been banned; it simply didn't receive a distribution certificate. If that changes, then it might be released.

The recent development comes in the wake of Marvel's The Eternals not playing in Saudi Arabia, that movie was forbidden there over its same-gender couple romance and the MCU's first gay superhero.

Quite often movies with LGBTQ content don't make it past censors in the Gulf, and Doctor Strange 2 features America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) who is gay in the Marvel comics.

Doctor Strange 2 was scheduled to be released across the Gulf as part of the day-and-date theatrical debut on May 5. The sequel is expected to be released in the United Arab Emirates though, and Kuwait and Qatar's release for Doctor Strange 2 remain up in the air, as per Deadline.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is rumoured to feature several starry cameos, including Tom Cruise playing a variant of Iron Man, the character immortalised by Robert Downey, Jr.

Other reported cameos include John Krasinski as Mr Fantastic, Ryan Reynolds, Tobey Maguire, and Halle Berry reprising their roles as Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Storm, respectively. However, none of these are confirmed. Directed by Sam Raimi, the film Madness, part of MCU's Phase 4, will hit the screens on May 6, 2022.
